A creative evening “Otan Ana” by composer Kuat Shildebayev took place at Qazaqkoncert

The concert program featured the songs “Qayran Kөңil,” “Sағым дүние,” “Otan Ana,” “Zhan Ana,” “Keshir meni,” “Amanat,” “Ayalagan arman-ai,” “Saule,” as well as musical compositions from well-known films.
The event brought together distinguished cultural figures, including Honored Workers of Kazakhstan Ardak Balazhanova, Renat Gaisin, Dilnaz Akhmadieva, Dauren Serghazin, Zhanar Dugalova, holder of the “For Meritorious Service” medal Anna Uvarova, popular singers Kairat Baekenov, Marcel, Shaba Adenkulkizy, renowned kobyz player Olzhas Kurmanbek, and laureates of national and international competitions Erbol Tazhibayev, Didar Abduhalyk, Nuray Sheru, Ali Okapov, Madi Rymbayev, Gauhar Omirgazova, and Akmarzhan Kurmanbek.
This evening marked Kuat Shildebayev’s first solo creative concert. During the event, his works were performed with the accompaniment of the “Saz&Soul” ensemble and the Astana Pop-Symphony Orchestra, offering a new artistic interpretation of his music.
Kuat Shildebayev is a well-known composer and laureate of international and national competitions. He has created works for symphonic, chamber, choral, folk-instrumental music, as well as film scores. His compositions have been featured in films such as “The Fall of Otrar,” “Farewell, Gulsary,” “My Childhood Sky,” and “Shal.”
In 2025, his violin piece “Karakemer” was published in the United States by Global Music Partnership Press, making him the first composer from Kazakhstan to be published by this American music publisher, marking an important milestone in his international recognition.
The composition “Karakemer” was included in the collection of the New York Public Library with the support of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in New York. Its premiere was held at Harvard University and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
