Artists of Qazaqconcert Performed at the “Turkic Week” in Vienna

Artists of the Roza Baglanova State Academic Concert Organization “Qazaqconcert” took part in the “Turkic Week” events held in Austria.

As part of the program, renowned dancer and choreographer Anel Marabayeva performed the dance “Akku”, opera singer Aigerim Altynbek performed the song “Alqonyr”, while the Kazakh group “Temirlan & Yernat” presented the instrumental composition “Alem”.

The event was organized as part of “Turkic Week” aimed at promoting the activities of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). Audiences enjoyed performances showcasing the rich cultural heritage, traditional music, and dance art of Turkic peoples. The concert program left a strong impression on attendees and demonstrated the strengthening cultural ties among Turkic countries.

The “Turkic Week” program continued with a concert featuring creative groups from OTS member states. Artists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan participated in the event.

Anel Marabayeva is the artistic director of the “Birlik” ensemble, one of Kazakhstan’s leading choreographers, and a soloist specializing in dances of the peoples of the world. She has represented Kazakh dance art and world folk dances at official concerts in Russia, China, Korea, Japan, Germany, Egypt, Spain, Austria, and many other countries. Her repertoire includes around 30 folk dances reflecting the richness of cultural heritage. One of the highlights of her career was performing in Washington, New York, and at the United Nations General Assembly on the occasion of Nauryz being included in the official UN calendar.

Aigerim Altynbek is an opera singer, laureate of international and national competitions, and Honored Worker of Kazakhstan. Internationally recognized for her vocal artistry, she is currently undertaking an internship at the academy of the world-famous “La Scala” Theatre in Italy. She has won prizes at prestigious competitions in Italy (including Puccini, Ghiaurov, and Tebaldi competitions), Finland, Lithuania, Russia, and other countries. In addition, in 2025 she performed on the same stage with world-renowned tenor José Carreras and Andrea Bocelli in Naples, Italy.
