The State Academic Concert Organization “Qazaqconcert,” with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a commemorative concert titled “BATYR. Memories,” dedicated to the legendary artist, musician, and beloved figure Batyrkhan Shukenov. The musical evening, presented in collaboration with the Astana Vibe Orchestra, became a meaningful tribute to the singer’s artistic legacy.

The concert program was structured as a unified musical narrative, combining the artist’s repertoire, works connected to his creative environment, and new orchestral interpretations. The evening opened with the piece “Vospominanie,” performed by virtuoso guitarist Oner Kulov, composers Yevgeny Botnikov and Dilyara Azhikanova under the direction of conductor Kassym Aitbayev.

A significant part of the program was dedicated to Batyrkhan Shukenov’s artistic collaborations. Najib Vildanov, who performed with him in the “Arai” ensemble and the A’Studio group, took part in the concert, adding further depth to the program. Also featured were well-known works by Erken Yntykbayev — “Anazhan” and “Mangy Izdemin” — closely associated with the artist’s name, as well as Valery Sturov’s composition “Neznakomka.”

Songs from Batyrkhan Shukenov’s repertoire were performed by Honored Figures of Kazakhstan Kurmash Makhan and Erlan Rysqali, laureates of international competitions Yerbol Tazhibaev, Zarina Bozhakova, Nuray Sheru, and other performers. Familiar melodies were reimagined with new nuance, preserving their emotional warmth and identity.

The concert concluded with a collective performance of the song “Sagam Duniye,” which became the symbolic finale of the evening. Thus, the concert “BATYR. Memories” served as a musical tribute to Batyrkhan Shukenov’s legacy, where works gained renewed expression through performers of different generations, revealing the depth and scale of his artistic contribution.
